The Adams Arms P1 Upper Receiver is an innovative, short stroke piston system ready to install on your AR-15 lower. Because the P1 Upper Receiver is a gas piston system, it runs cooler, cleaner, and more reliably than those with a direct gas impingement system.

To eliminate any carrier tilt that might damage the receiver extension, the P1’s bolt carrier is equipped with enlarged "skis" to guide it into the tube. An integrated piston strike face on the one-piece, solid steel bolt carrier delivers long-lasting reliability, while the spring loaded bolt assembly ensures proper lock-up for reduced bolt bounce and cam pin wear.

Adams Arms gave their P1 Upper Receiver a tough, durable QPQ Melonite finish for an extremely hard, slick surface resistant to carbon build-up, resulting in increased corrosion resistance and longer service life.
