From the manufacturer

The Illusion 9 by Advanced Armament Corporation is a compact and high performance suppressor designed for use with modern 9mm semi-automatic pistols. Drawing from the design features of the Maxim model 1910 silencer, the Illusion features an offset, non-centralized bullet path. This eccentric bore allows for the suppressor to be mounted low enough for shooters to utilize the factory OEM sights on their handguns without purchasing raised suppressor sights. As such, the Illusion runs on a new piston design - the A.S.A.P. - that is not "backwards compatible" with previous AAC pistons. One piston in 1/2x28 tpi is included with this suppressor.
