From the manufacturer
Want to install a QD sling swivel socket on your long gun, but the walls of your polymer shoulder stock are just too thin to support a thread base alone? Well GroveTec has you covered with their Quick Release Base! Simply drill a hole in the stock, insert the push button base, then using the included nut, tighten it in place for a rock solid fit. The Quick Release Base disperses the pressure on your stock to prevent cracking or breaking around the sling cup. Full-rotation swivel cup Black-oxide finish All steel Low profile, the GrovTec Quick Release Base lets you position a receptacle for a QD pushbutton sling swivel on your rifle for improved carry options.
