AR-15 300 Blackout Barrels

300 Blackout fires a .30-caliber bullet from a standard AR-15: it uses the same lower, bolt carrier group and usually the same magazines as 5.56, so only the barrel changes. It shines in short barrels and with a suppressor, with supersonic loads for the range and heavy subsonic loads for quiet shooting. Most 300 Blackout barrels use a pistol-length gas system, a 1:7 or 1:8 twist and 5/8x24 muzzle threads. Mark your magazines: a 300 Blackout round can chamber in a 5.56 rifle, which is dangerous.
